2019 Internal ISO Audit at Black Sea Terminal

Recently, an internal audit was conducted at Black Sea Terminal (BST). The main objective was to assess the compliance of company processes against the requirements of the applied international standards such as ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System), ISO 14001 (Environment Management System) and ISO 9001 (Quality Management System).

The internal audit agenda covered all important operational processes and complied with the legal requirements, document control, performance and customer satisfaction evaluation, occupational health and safety, environmental management and quality-control issues.

The lead auditor convened a brief entry meeting between the audit team and the auditee. During the meeting:

  • The audit team was introduced
  • Attendance was recorded
  • The audit subject and the itinerary was discussed
  • Agreed time for the exit meeting.

The internal audit team reviewed the status of the recommendations made based on previous internal and external audits. It is an approach that enables the company to evaluate the effectiveness of the corrective actions taken and to achieve continuous improvement of BST processes.

The corrective actions and improvement points identified during the audit have been distributed to all related departments for further follow-up.
