Internal Audit 2019

In July of 2019, an internal audit was conducted at the Black Sea Terminal (BST). The main objective of the audit was to assess the compliance of company processes against the requirements of applied international standards such as ISO 9001 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001 (Environment Management System) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System).

The internal audit covered all important operational processes, and complied with legal requirements, document control standards, performance and customer satisfaction evaluation, occupational health and safety, environmental management and quality-control issues.

The lead auditor convened a brief entry meeting between the audit team and the auditee, during which the auditor:

  • introduced the audit team
  • recorded attendance
  • discussed the audit subject and the itinerary
  • agreed to a time to conclude the meeting.

The audit team reviewed the status of the recommendations made from previous internal and external audits. It is an approach that enables the company to evaluate the effectiveness of the corrective actions taken and to achieve continuous improvement of its processes.

The corrective actions and improvement points identified during the audit have been distributed to all the relevant departments for further corrective action.

The audit results will be discussed during a future management meeting, which will be conducted at the end of 2019.
