As per the contract signed between BST and Georgian Railway, construction works on the 35 KV sub-station is ongoing. The work commenced at end of 2009. The construction is consisting of two parts:

1) 35 /10 KV  Main Power transformers and its related equipment;

2) 10/3.3 KV Traction Power Transformers including its related modules and equipments.

First part of the works done by the local company ’’Electromontajservice’’ and will be completed till April 2010.

The second part of the installation is ordered in Ukraine and will commence delivering in April 2010. All construction activities regarding the sub-station should be finished by the end of 3rd quarter 2010.  The power station is intended to provide energy supply for the locomotives on the Kolkheti – Partotskali access line. Currently, RTCs are delivered to the Kulevi Station by terminal’s own recourses ranging some 20 km from Chaladidi Station to the Black Sea Terminal.
