In the beginning of April, 2010 it has been declared that Kulevi Oil Terminal (BST) achieved 4 million tons transshipment volume since the beginning of operation (May, 2008). Obviously, this is a great success, which became possible because of hundreds of people’s hard work including BST team, shareholders, Georgia and Azerbaijan government authorities - and it really deserves to be celebrated as a great milestone on continuing BST development process.

From December, 2009 dredger “Marian B” is at Sevastopol Shipyard for repair and modernization works. Black Sea Terminal Ltd. has been exploited for development of approach channel and inside water area of Kulevi port. The mentioned vessel is a self-propelled and self-dumping dredger with length – 77.7 m, width – 12.9 m, maximum draft – 6.2 m, the hold with capacity 1700 m3 is equipped with two suction pipes with excavating depth – 16 m and performance – 1600 m3 per hour. Technical features of “Marian B” fully answer requirements necessary for development and maintenance of depth for tankers with DWT 100 000 t. |

On 24-25th of March, 2010 Black Sea Terminal participated in the 9th International Oil, Gas, Energy and Infrastructure Conference & Showcase which took place at the Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel in Tbilisi. This is the conference which has gained a status of a very significant event for international business community for last several years.
GIOGIE is officially supported by the Ministry of Energy of Georgia, Ministry of Environmental Protection & Natural Resources, British Georgian Chamber of Commerce (BGCC) and Georgian Oil & Gas Corporation (GOGC).
