Health Insurance at BST Print E-mail

In April 2010, a new health insurance policy came into force for Black Sea Terminal employees. Despite of increased premiums, the new insurance program as distinct from previous is expanded and includes such kind of new services as vaccination against flu, hepatitis B and C; medical check up twice per year and dental treatment. The health insurance policy embraces a wide network of provider medical clinics throughout Georgia and Azerbaijan.

BST LLC provides its employees with health insurance police since the beginning of operation (May, 2008). Being a part of premium benefits health insurance is intended to protect employees against uncertain and high medical expenses and more likely to receive necessary and appropriate health care.

Corrosion control at BST Print E-mail

Corrosion is deterioration or degradation of metal components due to interactions with their environments. Corrosion can lead to failures in plant infrastructure and machines which are usually costly to repair, costly in terms of lost or contaminated product, in terms of environmental damage, and eventually it may be costly in terms of human safety. Proper corrosion inspection and monitoring may reduce of risks, at all stages of systems life, from the design to the last day of operation.

Correct and effective corrosion monitoring strategies has been developed and implemented at BST facility. The main target of corrosion inspection at BST is getting proper observation of facility integrity condition, identifying the corrosion status and reliability of process equipments.

Successful and Effective Maintenance Management Print E-mail

The Maintenance Department plays a key role in Black Sea Terminal’s success. Well designed CMMS system with client-server architecture and highly qualified personnel we have are the key factors for a successful and effective management and planning. Our maintenance activities are oriented on changing the culture from reactive to proactive  thus providing the continuity of operations by detecting, precluding or mitigating degradation of equipments or systems with the aim of sustaining or extending its life through controlling degradation to an acceptable level. It is of vital importance to clearly identify the root cause of each failure, as this will affect the selection of a suitable maintenance task. For this reason we use the RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis) process to investigate, rectify and eliminate equipment failure if there is any. To effectively support maintenance and operation we maintain adequate levels of material supply making sure we have required spare parts available when needed.
